An Educated Heart

Do you give?

Do you give only because you want to receive?

Do you think giving is easy?

Giving is as much of an art as a portrait is to painting and the best contributions come from an “educated heart.”

An educated heart learns what another person is needing or wanting, and then gives it to them with love.

An educated heart knows that it takes a dedicated team around you to make you a success.

An educated heart knows that life is hard and that people around you matter.

An educated heart experiences peace and provides peace for another.

An educated heart thinks of others before they think of themselves.

An educated heart experiences fear but does it anyway.

An educated heart gives not expecting anything in return.

An educated heart knows you get the best when you give the best of yourself.

An educated heart sees, hears and breathes kindness.

An educated heart is filled with love.

The value of a man resides in what he gives and not in what he is capable of receiving.” Albert Einstein

With an educated heart you will give, acknowledge, appreciate and be kind to others. It will be your gift— it will be you honor, privilege and opportunity. It will give you a chance to give something back by becoming more.

Hi Lolly ~ When we give of ourselves are we not getting in return? Not directly from that person, thing or community but within ourselves. Is it selfish then to give if it makes us feel good to do so? Or, is it simply an intrinsic value that is nurtured with an educated heart? Thank you so much for your thoughtful post. John

Lolly, as usual your post is concise, well-written, relevant to so much, and TO the heart. Your posts are catalysts for reflection and choices to grow.

Maybe when we truly give from our heart to another, it is so powerful for them (and us) because we are giving them something back that was and is an important part of who they ARE. We become their mirror in that instant, and authenticity is further expanded into real-felt energy and a physiological experience of both oneness and truth.
    Thank you Ed

Thanks for the thoughts. Giving, loving, serving, and all contributions to others change when we truly begin to understand our purpose. When we stop living for ourselves and start living on purpose, it shifts everything. This is what educates a heart.

Thanks for sharing this post with your daughter.

Inner wisdom is an observer. A neutral observer of our life.

It is calm. it is patient. It is faith. It trusts.
Our inner wisdom takes on a bigger view of our life and circumstances and situations.
It knows you will be right even if you feel uncomfortable. it knows better than your heart what you want
and what is best for you. But it takes discipline to trust our inner wisdom and it takes patience to live a life of our fullest potential.

I trust you will trust your inner wisdom. Because it knows where you want to go.
      Lolly
